How do I invite the bot to my server?
Use this link to invite him with regular (text only) permissions.
Use this link to invite him with moderator permissions.
I need help with a specific command! What do I do?!
First off, try using the help
command. No really, type the command you need help with after "help":
/help guild
That should give you a bunch of examples and help you figure out how to use the command. You can also take a quick look at the user manual. There's more detailed information about the bot and each command on there.
How do I change the prefix to something else?!
You have to be a moderator, administrator or server owner in order to change the bot's prefix. If you are one of those that I listed, just type:
/set prefix $
or replace $
with whatever you want to.
I need to change the prefix, but there's another bot with the same prefix!!! How do I keep them from both responding?!
You can mention Mouse Bot in order to trigger commands. To change the prefix, just mention the bot and write the same code as you would to change the prefix normally:
@Mouse Bot#1367 set prefix $
Just remember, you need to be a mod, admin or server owner
I'm not the server owner, how to I change the bot's configurations?
The easiest way is to get the server owner to add your role to the moderator or administrator configuration setting. Lets say you want to be a moderator and your server's moderators all have the @officer role. The server owner would need to type the following:
/set edit modRole officer
And BAM! You're a bot mod.
What if the server owner is on vacation for the next 2 years? If the server owner is not around, you need to find someone who can create roles. Lets say you can create roles and you want to be an administrator, but your server's admin role is "Sith Overlords". First you need to create a new role called Mod. Now the bot thinks you're an moderator, so just change the admin role:
/set modRole Sith Overlords
Now you can delete the role Mod.
How do I turn on welcome messages?
If you're a moderator, administrator or server owner, just type:
/set edit welcome on
How do I change the welcome message?
If you're a moderator, administrator or server owner, just type:
/set edit welcomeMessage Hello, world!
You can replace "Hello, world!" with anything you want. Have the bot say the server name by typing {server} and have him say the user's name by typing {user}.
Mouse Bot has a point system AND awesome Star Wars role rewards?! How does Meeseeks turn that on???
If you're a moderator, administrator or server owner, just type:
/set points on
Role rewards should be already turned on (they only work if you have the points system on), but you can double-check with:
/set roleRewards on
Someone turned on welcome message and the points system. I don't like having fun, so how do I turn it all off?
Easy, peasy. Just type off instead of on. (see the last three questions for the code)
Why can't I use the commands like profile
, mods
or guild
?
The force is not strong with this one. Make you have your swgoh.gg username stored with the bot. Use the register
command to do this:
/register necavit
/register https://swgoh.gg/u/necavit/
Yes, you can just copy/paste your swgoh.gg URL. Lazy.
Something is wrong. My characters and mods aren't displaying correctly.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Seriously, though, I would suggest forcing an update for your swgoh.gg account. Doing that will refresh the cache and hopefully resolve any problems.
On swgoh.gg, click on "Settings & Sync" under your username. Then scroll down to the bottom and click "Update Profile".
Still didn't work? Try changing the capitalization when you store your username with the bot. For example, instead of using necavit I would try Necavit.
